Tours and activities in Romsdal

A steep, long and nice walk - straight from the house.

Rauma river is a historic and popular salmon river that flows through the beautiful Romsdalen. We rent out fishing rights in the river. There are also nice paths along the river straight from the house.

Kløvstien starts at Bøsetra and is a steep but beautiful walk along the old road between Romsdal and Sunnmøre.

Just a half hour drive away is snow-secure Bjorli, an eldorado for skiers, both on cross-country and down-hill skiing. Here you will also find many nice hiking trails in summer, as well as a nice climbing park for the whole family.

In Skorgedalen, only 20 minutes from Østigård, you can ski on the ski slopes, go on one of the many nice summit hikes or follow miles of groomed trails. Isfjorden is also a eldorado for peak trip enthusiasts. Both places are good starting points for summer trips as well.

A trip up to the iconic Rampestreken for a picture out on the ramp, has almost become mandatory on a visit to Romsdalen.

The famous tourist road Trollstigen starts right by Østigård. The trip up is an experience in itself, and once up you can enjoy good food and drink or take a walk on the many marked trails.

The national tourist road Atlanterhavsveien is an hour's drive away. A spectacular road with a unique view of the ocean, and an equally great experience in the sun as in real rainy weather.

Take the trip up to Aksla with Romsdalsgondolen and eat a better meal at Eggen Restaurant. Or take the gondolas down after you have walked Romsdalseggen.

A trip over Romsdalseggen is a trip for the memory book.
